• 2^nd place in Debate in South Zone University level competition held at Calicut during 10-14 Dec. 2008.
• Ms Chitra Chatarjee and Mr. Panav Pai of DebSoc, Participated National Level Debate Competition held at West Bengal during 19 -23 Jan. 2009 and got II place. (Gold meddle winner, represented VTU, Karnataka and South zone)
  

CAT team participates in Annual youth festival conducted by Visweswaraya Technological University (VTU) every year. RVCE is always ranking within top 5 engineering colleges all over Karnataka in VTU youth fest. Some of the achievements……

• 1^st place in Mimicry, 2^nd place in Group song (Indian), spot painting, debate and quiz. in 7th VTU Youth Fest held at BVBCE, Hubli during 26 – 29 Oct. 2005.
• Overall champion ship in 8^th VTU Fest held at NMAMIT, Nitte, Mangalore, during 08 – 11 November, 2006. 1^st place in Folk Orchestra, Light Indian music, Collage and Western Solo. 2^nd place in Spot painting, Mimicry, and 3^rd place in one act play, classical dance, Quiz and western group.
• 1^st place in Debate, 3^rd place in Quiz and poster making, semi classical solo and one Act play in 9^th VTU Youth fest held at SIT, Tumkur during 25 -28, Oct. 2007.
• 1^st place in western group song, western solo, dumb charades and launch pad, 2nd place in non percussion instrumental, JAM and programming & Debugging, 3rd place in folk orchestra and cooking in 10^th VTU Youth fest held at SBMJCE, Kanakapura during 15 – 21 Feb. 2009.

• Over all Champion ship in “UTSAV 2009”, BMS Fest held at BMSCE, Bangalore, during 09 – 11 April, 2009 and got I place in debate and poetry writing, 2nd place in Last actor standing (dramatics), non percussion, collage and got both 2^nd and 3^rd place in general quiz, literature and entertainment quiz and arbitarium quiz.

CAT team also participates in College fests of various Engineering colleges in Bangalore like, PESIT, MSRIT, BIT, RNSIT, DSCE, DBIT, CMRIT, NMIT, JSSATE, SIT-Tumkur, Christ University Jyoti Nivas College, St. Josephs College, Mount Carmel College and brought many laurels to RVCE.

Other achievements

• 1^st place in general quiz conducted by Cognizant “Transl Tion” 09.
• 1^st place in Music competition and consolation prize in Classical dance at “RASA” conducted by ISKON during 25-26, Sept. 2008.
• 3^rd place in Tata crucible national level business quiz (Bangalore Zone) held at NIMHANS convention center on 8^th March, 2009. The program was telecasted on 4^th April 2009 at 6.30 PM in ICBN TV18 channel.
