About the Course
The department of Telecommunication engineering and PG studies has started a M.Tech. Program in “Digital Communication”, from the academic year 2004 – 05.
Specialization in the field of Digital Communication will provide the candidates with a wide variety of opportunities, both in the Industry as well as in the R & D fields.
They can work in areas dealing with Satellite Communications, Mobile and Wireless Communications, Optical Fiber Communications, Microwave and Antenna designs , Real time and Embedded System designs, Advanced Digital Signal processing and Image processing fields, etc.

In addition the curriculum also offers Industrial training and Project works.
The department provides two well equipped laboratories and a Seminar hall for the PG students.
PG. Lab I ( VLSI & Image processing Lab) - consisting of P-IV Computers , Mat lab with Image Processing Tool Box (05 Users), Virtual Instrumentation Kits and Software And
PG Lab II ( Advanced Digital communication Lab) - consisting of - Spectrum Analyzers,
Digital CROs , Function Generators , AM/FM Generators , Microwave Gunn and Klystron setups.
In addition , the department has good Industry support from ISRO, DRDO laboratories, ALTERA, Texas instruments, HP etc.
The department has dedicated and qualified faculty to support the PG program.
