The Civil Engineering Department is conducting 2 years post Graduate Programme in Highway technology from academic year 2009-10 (M.Tech - Highway technology). The programme has been approved by All India Council for Technical Education.

Highway technology is a specialized course which gives a n exposure to the students on the techniques of planning and design of rural and urban roads based on traffic studies. They will also be studying about construction and management of highways, pavement deterioration, preventive and remedial measures. Further they will be exposed to special problems in road construction and use of modern construction equipments.

It is well balanced program to suit the present and future requirements of infrastructure development.
