Job opportunities in engineering are expected to be good, but they vary according to the specializations of the individual. There is urgent need for Non-Information Technology to absorb and assimilate the latest development in the Software Industry. With the world going digital, the need for professionals in the field is growing by leaps and bounds. The future holds great expectations for the computer professional, especially people with M.Tech. (IT) as it provides the highest level of practically applicable knowledge to an individual.

In this regard, the Department of Information Science and Engineering has started M tech Information Technology for Non-IT students on Aug 2007.  The course is offered by the department of Information Science and Engineering by highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty with an intake of 18, selected by Visvesvaraya Technological University by common Entrance Test.

The M.Tech Information Technology course covers the following subjects during the I, II and III semester. During the IV semester students will do projects related to Information Technology field.
