About the Course

The Department of Mechanical Engineering started a PG course on M. Tech in Machine Design in the academic year 2006 with the intake of 18.

Machine Design occupies a prominent position in field of Mechanical Engineering. It deals with the analysis of a machine component subjected to Static and Dynamic loads under given boundary conditions, for a particular application.

The task of the machine designer has never been easy, since he has to consider a number of factors which are not always compatible. Today designer is required to account for many factors and considerations, which are almost impossible for one individual to be thoroughly conversant with. This has resulted in a need for advanced education at Masters Level in the field of Machine Design.

M.TECH in Machine Design deals with subjects like
