About the Course

VLSI provides improved solutions for high speed networking, high performance computers, and special applications of integrated circuits, requiring the use of multiple disciplines. There is urgent need to absorb and assimilate the latest development in the VLSI and embedded system design field.
VLSI industry needs VLSI design engineers and embedded system design engineers. In this regard, the Department of Electronics and Communication has started M.Tech VLSI and Embedded system course on 01-10-2005.

The course is offered by the department of Electronics and Communication by highly qualified and experienced teaching faculty. Intake to this course is 18, selected by Visvesvaraya Technological University by PG common Entrance Test.

The M tech VLSI and Embedded system course covers the following subjects during the I semester and II semester.

During the IV semester students will be doing projects related to VLSI field, CMOS VLSI Design and embedded system field.

The Department of Electronics and Communication has sufficient lab infrastructure & labs are equipped with Electronics Design Automation (EDA) Tools such as (1) Cadence (2) Tanner (3) Modelsim (4) FPGA trainer Kits and Synthesis tool from Xilinx
