NCC Events 2018-19

As part of the induction program for the fresher’s, we were privileged to have with us Lt Gen P G Kamath PVSM, AVSM, YSM, SM, a dynamic personality and an impeccable orator to motivate and talk to us about our country. He interacted with the cadets of NCC RVCE, where there was a discussion on the most violent battles fought and India’s relation with her neighbors Pakistan and China. He motivated and inspired us to serve our nation in any possible way.

The Indian Air force has always proven its mettle and capabilities far and wide; and has lived up to its moto “Touch the Sky with Glory”. The Department of Aerospace Engineering and NCC RVCE hosted a talk on “Career Opportunities in the Indian Air force”. The talk was given by an Indian Air force officer Sqn Ldr Shivanchal Asthana who was given the guest of Honour by the cadets of NCC RVCE. The officer gave an insight about aircrafts used in the Indian Air force and also the opportunities available to join the Indian Air force.

Blood donation camp was organized by NCC RVCE collaboration with several other clubs , 13 blood banks across Bengaluru participated and on around 1000+ units of blood was collected. Cadets volunteered in crowd and vehicle management , supplying refreshments and helping donors .Most of the cadets donated blood in account of appreciation to blood camp.

The Surgical strike was celebrated on 29th September 2018 by the cadets on the occasion of successful tactical neutralization of terrorist launch pads. ANO and senior cadets gave good insight on the operation by the Indian Army. The event concluded with a rally in the college campus.

On 14th February 2019, India faced one of the worst attack on the Indian armed forces. We the cadets of NCC RVCE conducted a candle light march on 15/2/2019 in our campus in honour of the service and sacrifice of our brave hearts. It was heart-warming to see several hundred students of RVCE take part in the march where they displayed their mark of respect.

Cadets of NCC RVCE performed march past for the inauguration of sports day in which each department was headed by a cadet and the entire faculty along with HOD’s marched in the parade. There was a separate contingent for NCC. A separate ceremonial band team was there for playing tune during the marching. Cadet’s also participated in various activities and bagged a lot of prizes.

The 70th republic day was celebrated on 26th January 2019 and graced by the Hon. Principal Dr.K N Subramanya with the hoisting of the tricolor flag. NCC RVCE showcased their drill, band and flag area on a grand scale. Furthermore, emphasis on importance of republic day was highlighted by the principal and NCC cadets.

It was on this precious day the ranks of NCC when fellow cadets were put on with responsibilities.

Cadets were honoured with the ranks by ANO Lt Dr Mahendra kumar and principal Dr K N Subramanya.

Fresh participants from 2018-19 batch came in a large number, the aspirants were enthusiastic with a smile on their face . Several healthy physical and mental competitions were conducted under guideline of the ANO Lt. Dr. Mahendra Kumar and seniors. Interview was taken by AO Major Raghavendra C with some inspirational talks.

The cadets of NCC RVCE along with the students of the college, celebrated Independence Day with unprecedented patriotic fervour on 15 August 2018. The Chief Guest D P Nagaraj ,Joint Secretary of RSST hoisted the Tricolor. The gamut of celebration activities held on the campus consisted of Guard of Honour and a play on "The life of a soldier", by NCC cadets.

The Graduation ceremony is celebrated in the last week of July. The piloting team and Band team dressed in full ceremonials Escorted the guest. The cadets also volunteered in crowd management and maintaining the discipline. Program ended with a good feast.
