The M.Tech Programme in Computer Network Engineering (CNE) was established in the year 2005 with an intake of 18 students. M.Tech in Computer Science Network Engineering is a full time programme with well established infrastructure and state of the art computing facilities. Student get opportunities for participating in the interdisciplinary R&D, consultancy and entrepreneurial activities. Student Teacher ratio of 12:1 is being maintained consistently. The establishment of High Performance Computing lab and Storage Area Network lab has enabled students to work on Parallel programming, Distributed computing, etc. Students get hands-on experience with modern engineering tools relevant to their courses.
The M.Tech programme in CNE offers the privilege to pursue internship in networking domain with well known industries such as CISCO, Juniper Networks, Vmware, Brocade, Philips Innovation Campus, Nokia Networks, Intel Mobile Communication, Unifylabs, MindTeck, etc. Students get placement in various Public, Private and Educational sectors. Through the Placement department students get placed in various companies. Maximum salary offered to students varies from 8.0 to 9.5 Lakhs per annum. The programme offers core subjects such as Wireless Ad-hoc networks, Storage Area Network, Optical Networks, Cloud Computing, Advances in Computer Networks, Information and Network Security and electives courses are on par with industry requirements.
